The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), otherwise known as the Global Goals, are a universal call to action to end poverty, protect the planet and ensure that all people enjoy peace and prosperity.
These 17 Goals build on the successes of the Millennium Development Goals, while including new areas such as climate change, economic inequality, innovation, sustainable consumption, peace and justice, among other priorities. The goals are interconnected – often the key to success on one will involve tackling issues more commonly associated with another.
An event open to the general public to empower individuals to create positive change in their own communities.
We are inviting everyone in the community to brainstorm projects aligned with the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) proposed by the United Nations to be achieved by 2030. 12 years will go by quickly!
We will discuss what has been achieved and what can still be done by each of us individually and together.
You can learn more about SDGs, examples of implementation by companies and individuals internationally and also here in Central Switzerland with experts from Junior Chamber International, Swiss industry champions such as F. Hoffmann-La Roche Ltd. and impact associations.
Everyone will have a chance to voice their ideas – in English or German! If you feel more comfortable in French, Italian, Spanish, Finnish, Russian, Dutch, Maltese – there will be one of us to help you find your voice.
For other languages – just mark in your registration that you would like to speak up, but need help with translation. We will see what can be done!
