Gabriel Galliker-Etter, General Manager of Etter, showed us around his family business in Zug, patiently educated us on the distilling process and let us taste some of the best fruit brandies in the world. He conveyed a true passion for making a high quality product and a great attitude: It’s all a matter of taste! Some people may not like the world’s best Kirsch, but that’s OK. What matters to him is that his business, which dates back to 1870, stays true to itself. And that means picking only the best suited cherries and fruits and checking quality again and again throughout the process, to make a product that truly pleases the palate of those who have a taste for it.
